NEW YORK RECOVERY DAYS
FROM NYC TO THE AMAZON:
A RECOVERY STORY

From NYC to the Peruvian Amazon
After a random act of kindness on the cold streets of New York City, one man begins a desperate search for sobriety and peace. His journey carries him through dead-end jobs and failed relationships, from Philadelphia to his hometown and back to New York, while the demons of his past refuse to loosen their grip. When darkness finally drives him to the edge, a ghostly voice whispers an unlikely truth: salvation may be waiting deep in the Peruvian jungle, and its name is ayahuasca. New York Recovery Days is a raw, gripping memoir of addiction, madness, depression, and the long road back to self-discovery.
Abstinence doesn't equal recovery
Addiction isn't the problem; it's a symptom of one. Removing the symptom without curing its cause won't lead to a life of happiness. I know this because I tried. My path was long, marked by relapse, bad decisions, and poor mental health, and it took me from my life in New York all the way to Siberia and Peru in search of the meaning of life. For me, it took heading into the unknown in the Amazon and facing my demons before my true recovery began. While 12-Step programs work wonders for some, they're not for everyone. NEW YORK RECOVERY DAYS shows there is another way to find happiness and freedom from addiction.
